Happy! Happy! Joy! Joy!

Have you checked out the really cool bling decorating my column to the left? (well, scroll down and to the left - sorry, you'll have to work a little for it.) The one that states that I'm a Kreativ Blogger - no, not a creative speller, that's how it came to me.

That happens to be compliments of one of my new bloggity friends, jill jill bo bill - she's sassy yet classy AND a fellow member of the Whataburger Appreciation Society. All around cool chick.

My assignment that accompanies this awesome award is to list six things that make me happy.

Well, since the top three slots are already taken by my favorite men - Dear Hubby, Oldest and Youngest - I decided to put my roving reporter skills (OK, just one semester over 15 years ago) to the test and find out what makes the people that make me happy, happy?

Oldest:
1. "The pet that I'm going to get." - Ah, not so fast Master Manipulator. When was the last time you fed your WebKinz? Yeah, thought so. Check back with me next month.

2. Hot Wheels!!! - OK, who didn't see that one coming? What, no Mama!? Fine. Off to find the one who's still in the will.

Youngest:
1. "Teddy! Teddy!" - I'm afraid, at 2 1/2, he doesn't really grasp the question "What makes YOU happy?" He was pointing to a picture is his bedtime book - "Look Mama, Teddy!"
Thinking on my feet, I decide to run with it - "So you're telling Mama that Teddy makes you happy?"
"U-huh." Cool.

2. "Does reading books make you happy?"
"U-huh." Check. But still no Mama.

Dear Hubby:
1. "The Boys"
2. "You" - aha! The correct answer, finally someone who knows where his bread is buttered.

"Oh, and nice, polite people" - can you tell that this man deals with irate investors all day?

So there you have it, a little slice of our lives. In the end, it's just the four of us, making our lives better than bad - It's so good!

Now I get to pass on the bling to six deserving folk.

UPDATE 10/17: Smarty pants Deb, Nanny Goats in Panties and June Cleaver/Texas Holly guessed correctly, or Googled well - Ren and Stimpy it is. And if you really know your vintage cartoons, you might recognize the slight reference to The Log Song as well.

Since Deb respectfully declined, and the other two were already given shout outs, the offer is now off the table. It's actually a really good thing that they couldn't claim the last spot, because I would like to offer it as a "house warming" present to the newest blogging virgin - Julie Blair!
