Gone writing...

Over the past six days, I've been fooling myself that yes, of course I can walk and chew gum at the same time.

Nope.

Just can't.

See that cute little button to the left (no not MWOB, but that one rocks as well) - the NaNoWriMo badge. Yes, I took the pledge to write 50,000 words of fiction during the month of November. Evidently, to make it count, I have to actually provide a plot and stimulating characters and an ending that makes sense.

I know!

Picky. Picky.

I thought I could stay and play here in bloggyworld, but my will to not read the comings and goings of everyone is just too weak. You guys are an interesting bunch. So I sit, to write, and find myself just clicking on "one" link, then another and another.

Lays Potato chips! That's what blogging is. And I'm a sucker for salt.

So, it is with a heavy heart that I say adieu, if only 'til December.

I just hope and pray that I find my characters as rich and dimensional and meaningful as all of you already are to me.

Wish me luck. I'm going to need it. Deep breath. Jump.

- Em

Hey I'm doing it too! But just for myself.

In fact, that's what I should be doing now!

And I'm gonna miss you!

Gah! You mean I have to go and listen, study and read for myself!

Gah!

Curse this NaNoWriMo -- it's taking over like the Swine Flu! I wish I had the willpower....I definitely read more than I write. It's like that bug looking at the bug light zapper thing in "A Bug's Life": "I can't stop looking...it's so beeyootiful!!!!"
(zap).

I did it last year and it's a great exercise. You'll find a lot of inspiration deep within yourself. Have fun and keep it up!

Good luck. I found myself giving up my desire to write fiction but have the new found (really old) passion of drawing and painting...

50,000 words??

holy hell...Im pretty sure I dont find myself even remotely that interesting.

You know, when I saw this mention of NaNoWriMo I was pretty sure you had found the FM Swingers club Ive been in search of...oh well, back to the internet. Those freaks are here somewhere.

Oooohhh, I can't wait to read your fiction stuff. I see a writing award in your future!

Wow! I wish I could do that. I've always wanted to "write" but haven't had the courage to take the leap.

I, too, will miss your take on politics! They passed the healthcare bill and you haven't said a word!

Maybe throw us a bone every once in awhile? Just as a break? :o)

Good writing!
